Tasted blind at Farr's 2002 Bordeaux tasting. Good wine, good wine Mrs. G. Very impressive definition on the austere nose laced with cigar box, damp earth, blackberry, thyme and black tea. Chewy entry on the palate, firm, bold tannins here with ripe black cherries, redcurrant and sour red cherry. Tannic, slightly muffled on the finish but it has a sense of drive and purpose, yet maintaining an admirable degree of refinement. Tasted October 2009.
