Robert Parker
Tasted: 01/11/2003
Drink:

Deep brick red rim with some sign of maturity (unlike the 1983). The nose is slightly stewed with a hint of anis mixed with cherry and raisins. The palate is very expressive, open-knit, a touch of prune. Nowhere near as deep as the 1983 but very smooth with a liquorices-infused finish. Medium-bodied with relatively light tannins compared to other Guigal's. A point. Very fine. Drinking now. Tasted November 2003.
